I thought that it would have specific times (for example, "four weeks before your first frost") for each flower, but it doesn't. A much more useful reference is "The Flower Farmer" by Lynn Byczynski, and that book also includes detailed growing and harvesting information for warm season flowers as well. Ziegler's book is basically a list of flowers to sow in fall, but very little information about how or when. She says to sow all fall flowers "four to six weeks before your first fall frost," but here in TN, that would be in mid-August, and it's far too hot then for most of those cool weather flowers to germinate.
